Teaser Tuesday
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My teaser is from Megan’s Way by Melissa Foster:

That’s a great teaser! Mine is from Jo Graham’s Black Ships this week. Here it is…
I’m only 9 pages into The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society , and not hooked yet. For me, that’s not a good sign. However, many readers are raving about it, so I’ll hold out hope at least until page 20, and offer this teaser, which I do like:
“Having witnessed your electrifying performance of ‘The Shepherd Boy Sings in the Valley of Humiliation’ eighteen years ago, I know you will have every listener coiled around your little finger within moments. A hint: perhaps in this case, you should refrain from throwing the book at the audience when you finish.”
I am interested in this book but have heard around the cyberspace water cooler, that it does take a while to get caught up in the story. You will have to let me know what you thought.
